MyExquisite Seasonal Stars
Santa Claus is coming to town. Well, ohhhkaay, not JUST yet, though I’m pretty sure it’s all systems go up at the North Pole, BUT half-term is done and dusted and it’s already November. Bonfire night is now little more than a fug in the air, and poignant Remembrance poppies rightly proliferate. Christmas will be here in less time than it takes to shake an espresso martini, or at least that’s the way it feels. In fact I’m pretty sure LAST Christmas was only a matter of weeks ago. Last Christmas is a wonderful film by the way. Not quite in It’s a Wonderful Life’s league but it’s nonetheless worth a watch. And, as you’d expect from a film called Last Christmas, the soundtrack is chock-full of Wham and George Michael bangers. One to watch with the girls and wine and a fulsome supply of tissues.
Today is a Gift
Seriously though, whilst it is essential to be prepared and to shop early, autumn is such a beautiful time of year; it’s a terrible shame to rush through it en route to the festive season. Instead, try to make the most of every day and look for the beauty in everything. That could be the vibrant golds and russets of the turning trees, the crisp misty mornings, or cosying up on darker nights.
As the Dalai Lama himself pointed out, “there are only two days of the year in which nothing can be done. One is called yesterday and the other is tomorrow, so today is the right day to love, believe, do and mostly, to LIVE”.
Mohammed Ali, not necessarily best known for philosophy, said, “Don’t count the days, make the days count”. That’s especially pertinent at this time of year.
And, because I simply can’t include inspirational quotes without a sprinkling of Maya Angelou, “this is a wonderful day. I’ve never seen this one before.”
I’m pretty sure we HAVE seen the quote before, but it works here too.
Christmas is Coming
There is a balance to be struck here though. Yes, enjoy the here and now, appreciate the mists and mellow fruitfulness of autumn, but make plans for the joyous days ahead too. After all, even the big guy himself is making a list and checking it twice!
Have you made your list (that’s assuming you’ve been good)? Feel free to bookmark your favourites on our site, which is, as ever, a veritable smorgasbord of loveliness. Then, be sure to drop a hint (or send a link). Be honest, who WOULDN’T love a gorgeous new handbag? And, from the giver’s point of view, it’s a big win – a practical yet beautiful present, stylish and luxurious and yet with a refreshingly reasonable price tag. Hell, he can buy you two!
Gorgeous Gifts and Goodies
Whilst the bags are always the stars of our show, we’ve listened and we’ve added yet more gorgeous gifts and goodies.
Our beautiful new range of sterling silver jewellery is the perfect fit for our brand – and, more importantly, for you. Feast your eyes first on the beautiful Nola circle rainbow necklace and pretty matching earrings. Delicate yet distinctive, with several pops of colour for something a little different. Or, for an elegant touch, look at our gorgeous Zara drop earrings reminiscent of lily petals. There’s an equally delightful and similarly delicate matching pendant, too. As well as our superb range of drop earrings and pretty pendants, we have a plethora of versatile and diminutive sterling silver stud earrings. Perfect for everyday wear, there’s something here for everyone from an insta-queen teenage niece to a sophisticated Great Aunt. A jewellery collection would be incomplete without bracelets and bangles, so we won’t disappoint. From simply pretty to stunning statement pieces you’re sure to love several.
For Her, for Him, for Home
But we don’t stop there. We have SO much more gifty gorgeousness for your delectation. New this year and already FLYING out are our beautiful home fragrance products by Shifa. These are, as you’ve come to expect, exceptional quality, but crucially, they contain no nasties.
A pretty purse is always a perfect and practical pressie, and ours more than most – especially our just-this-side-of-kitsch picture purses. These are super cute – a quirky gift for anyone, but at a price that makes them ideal for a child’s gift, too.
And have you seen our deceptively sumptuous cashmere collection? From the softest, purest cashmere to pretty hand-printed pieces by Lucy Hay. There’s even a little pinch of perfection in a poncho for those in-betweeny weather – or simply not putting on the heating - days.
Pull Up a Chair and Pour a Cocktail
I hope we’ve whetted your appetite a little. For shopping, not for espresso martinis. Although, now you come to mention it, here’s a little early Christmas gift from me to you: Christmas Pudding Vodka, just one of a selection of festive tipple-heavy cocktail recipes to enjoy. You’re so welcome! Now, don’t forget to keep in touch. We have LOVED hearing from you and getting tagged in your insta posts. What a happy little difference that made over the tricky times recently, so thank you. Let us know which cocktails you’ve made and which you liked the best.
MyExquisite. This is not just luxury; this is affordable, attainable luxury. With COCKTAILS. And that’s the BEST kind.
